Pownall Hall School, located in Wilmslow, Cheshire, is a preparatory school that prides itself on fostering a positive, inclusive environment for children. The school’s ethos is built around the belief that “it’s okay to fail and give something your best go.” This core philosophy encourages students to embrace challenges and learn from mistakes, cultivating resilience, growth, and a love of learning. This message was central to every aspect of our collaboration with the school, influencing everything from the flow of the film to the creation of individual scenes.

Working closely with the Pownall Hall team, Feel Good Films crafted a commercial that authentically reflected this core message. Our goal was to humanize the school and create a compelling narrative that showcased the school’s warm and nurturing environment. Rather than simply presenting facts or highlighting facilities, we sought to tell a story that would resonate with prospective families and show the school as a place where students are supported, encouraged, and given the freedom to explore and learn.

We adopted a commercial film approach to bring this vision to life, utilizing a six-person crew over two days of filming. This production strategy allowed us to capture the essence of the school in a way that felt both professional and personal. The final film is a true reflection of Pownall Hall’s brand, showcasing its values and the unique environment it offers students.
